The clocks have gone back, Hallowe’en has been and gone (phew!), and now we can look forward to Christmas. 🙂
True Light
We love Christmas, don’t we, and all that it means to us. Jesus was born – our Saviour came to us, humbly and simply, to bring us back to God. Now that’s something to celebrate!
Of course, there’s a lot of commercialism at Christmas, too. We love the tinsel and the fairy lights, the gifts and the food, but we need more than that, don’t we?
And so do our young people, who are struggling like never before and so badly need true light, not just the fairy lights and shiny baubles (however lovely those things are).
A gift of Christian books can give eternal value, long after the decorations have been put away.
A book can transform a life in a moment… or it can be a link in a chain on a journey of faith.

Angel Tree
We have delivered another consignment of books to Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree programme – 200 copies of Under the Tamarind Tree! These books are destined for prisoners’ children this Christmas. Prisoners, through their prison chaplains, can choose to have a gift and a Christian book sent to their children on their behalf. This is an absolutely brilliant scheme, which we are delighted to be part of.
Please pray that each one of these books will be welcomed and enjoyed… and readers’ hearts touched by the good news in the story. One young reader said about this story: “You can tell by this book that God can do really amazing things.” Amen to that! You can buy your own copy here, or from your local Christian bookshop.
Christian Bookshops
Talking about Christian bookshops, they do a wonderful job, and they sell much more than books (most sell Dernier books, and they can all order them for you). They sell inspiring gifts, calendars, candles, advent calendars, music, and all sorts of other wonderful things as well! Why not make a date to visit your nearest shop? They would love to see you. 🙂
