Dear Friends,
The summer is almost gone and the children will be back at school soon.
This is a memorable time of year for me. It’s my birthday on 1st September, so as a child I looked forward to my birthday all through the summer holidays (which seemed sooo long!), then when my birthday was over, a pit of dread in my stomach took over, as the new school term approached.
I didn’t like school – I wasn’t very good at mixing, and had very little confidence. Thankfully, the Lord has worked a miracle in my life, although I haven’t forgotten the feeling!
Now I love to think of children being encouraged and inspired by our books, just as I was inspired by the books I read as a new Christian.
Exciting, isn’t it? Books really do change lives. And nothing is impossible with the Lord!
