Author Mary Weeks Millard knows how books can change lives – because they changed hers!
She says, “I loved school, but was very shy and had few real friends. My friends were often my books! I read avidly and was introduced to Christian stories when I was in hospital for a long time at the start of my secondary school life. My Sunday School teacher realised I was bored and brought me lots of books. I was hooked! I hope my story books bring as much joy to the children who read them as those books brought to me – and they made me understand that God was a real and loving Father.”
